Background And Aims: This study aimed to describe Crohn's disease perianal fistulizing lesions in patients undergoing surgery over 60 years to compare clinical presentation, management and outcomes with those observed in younger patients.
Methods: Between January 2012 and December 2022, all patients over 60 years old who underwent a first surgical intervention for anal fistula at two medical centers were included. For each patient included, two younger patients who underwent the same surgical procedure during the same period in the same centers were matched for comparison.

The colon exhibits higher propensity for tumour development than ileum. However, the role of immune microenvironment differences in driving this disparity remains unclear. Here, by comparing paired ileum and colon samples from patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) and healthy donors, we identified ileum-enriched CD160CD8 T cells with previously unrecognized characteristics, including resistance to terminal exhaustion and strong clonal expansion.

Background: Cancer screening nonadherence persists among adults who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing (DDBHH). These barriers span individual, clinician, and health care system levels, contributing to difficulties understanding cancer information, accessing screening services, and following treatment directives. Critical communication barriers include ineffective patient-physician communication, limited access to American Sign Language (ASL) cancer information, misconceptions about medical procedures, insurance navigation difficulties, and intersectional barriers for multiply marginalized individuals.
