We evaluated whether universal chlorhexidine bathing (decolonization) with or without COVID-19 intensive training impacted COVID-19 rates in 63 nursing homes (NHs) during the 2020-2021 Fall/Winter surge. Decolonization was associated with a 43% lesser rise in staff case-rates ( < .001) and a 52% lesser rise in resident case-rates ( < .001) versus control.

Background: "Furcation perforation" is a procedural mishap that can compromise endodontic success. An ideal repair material must exhibit strong "dislodgment resistance." Irrigants used during biomechanical preparation may affect the "push-out bond strength (POBS)" of these materials.

Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the surface roughness of a conventional composite resin, a one-shade universal composite resin, and a group-shade universal composite resin after bleaching.
Methods: A conventional composite resin, Clearfill, and the universal composite resins Omnichroma and Optishade were prepared into discs (2 × 8 mm), with a total of 90 discs. Each group (30) contained three different groups, including a control (n10), coloured with CHX (n10), and after bleaching (n10).

Background: During the incremental technique of composite restorations, it is possible to be exposed to contamination of the oral environment. This study aimed to compare the effect of saliva contamination and different methods of saliva decontamination on microshear bond strength within composite surfaces.
Materials And Methods: This study created 24 rectangular XT composite blocks using a silicone mold (24 mm × 10 mm × 10 mm).

Aim: The purpose of this study was to assess the push-out bond strength of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) to dentin after the use of intracanal medicaments, including calcium hydroxide [Ca(OH)], calcium hydroxide with chlorhexidine [CHX], double antibiotic paste [DAP], and modified triple antibiotic paste [mTAP], for 3 and 6 weeks and identify the failure modes related to each medicament.
Materials And Methods: Eighty extracted mandibular premolars were decoronated and instrumented to size 30 (Protaper Universal F3). Peeso reamers #1-#6, followed by 2.

Background: Improving the longevity of restorative materials requires efficient cavity cleaning. It is especially crucial to comprehend how various cavity disinfectants affect the binding strength of restorative materials in primary teeth, where caries advancement happens quickly.
Materials And Methods: This study examined the effects of three cavity disinfectants on the bond strength of restorative materials in primary teeth: 38% silver diamine fluoride (SDF), 5.
