This study aimed to evaluate the quality of multidisciplinary team (MDT) management in healthcare-associated infection (HAI) prevention and control, as well as its impact on multidrug-resistant organism (MDRO) infections. This was a retrospective, single-center study with a small sample size. A total of 400 patients admitted to the Departments of Critical Care Medicine or Orthopedics between January 2022 and December 2023 were divided into a control group (n = 200, receiving conventional HAI management) and an experimental group (n = 200, undergoing MDT management).

Background: In Alzheimer's disease (AD), sensitive measures of cognitive decline prior to overt symptoms are urgently needed. Accelerated long-term forgetting (ALF), where new information is retained normally over conventional testing intervals but is then lost at an accelerated rate over the following days and weeks, has been identified cross-sectionally in presymptomatic autosomal dominant and sporadic AD cohorts. We aimed to assess whether ALF testing is predictive of proximity to future symptom onset.

Introduction: Streptococcus pneumoniae is a major cause of lower respiratory infections, especially in children under 5 years old. While pneumococcal conjugate vaccines (PCVs) have reduced disease burden in many countries, data from low- and middle-income countries are still limited. The objective of this prospective, hospital-based, cross -sectional study was to measure the prevalence of pneumococcal colonization and identify circulating serotypes among children <5 years and their caregivers in Cambodia and India.

Background: Sleep disturbances are highly prevalent in children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD), yet few studies have combined objective and subjective measures. The objectives of this study were to evaluate sleep patterns and sleep hygiene in children with ADHD and ASD compared age-matched typically developing children, using both parent-reported questionnaires and actigraphy, to assess the concordance between these measures, and to determine the clinical applicability of actigraphy in this population.
Methods: Sixty children with NDD (30 ASD, 30 ADHD) and 40 typically developing controls, matched for age, underwent seven nights of actigraphic recording.
