Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a chronic allergic disease of the upper respiratory system that affects approximately 10-40% of the global population. Due to the large number of plant pollen allergens with obvious seasonal variations, AR is common in China. AR is primarily caused by the abnormal regulation of the immune system. Its pathophysiological mechanism involves a series of immune cells and immune mediators, including cytokines. The present review summarizes the common allergens in China and the complex pathophysiological mechanism of AR. Additionally, host allergen contact, signal transduction, immune cell activation, cytokine release, and a series of inflammatory reactions are described according to their sequence of occurrence.

There are limited data regarding photopatch testing (PPT) in Israel. To investigate the prevalence of positive reactions and concurrent diagnosis of patients that underwent PPT in a single center in Israel. Retrospective cohort study that included all patients that were suspected of having contact dermatitis and underwent patch testing with the European baseline series (EBS) and additionally were selectively PPT with the Scandinavian/European baseline photopatch series in a tertiary medical center in Israel (2009-2023).

Prcis: Analysis of 1,175 Korean adults in the 2019 KNHANES study found that sensitization to house dust mites and birch pollen significantly increased glaucoma risk, while oak pollen sensitization showed a protective effect.
Background: The relationship between allergen sensitization and glaucoma remains poorly understood. This study investigated the association between specific allergen sensitization patterns and glaucoma risk using data from the 2019 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.

Background And Objectives: Pollen-food allergy syndrome (PFAS) is a frequent comorbidity in individuals with hay fever. Identifying risk factors and allergen clusters can aid targeted interventions and management strategies. Objective: This study characterizes PFAS in patients with hay fever and identifies associated risk factors using the mobile health platform, AllerSearch.

is an ubiquitous mold commonly found in both outdoor and indoor environments. It is a common airborne mold recognized as a significant aeroallergen linked to pediatric allergic rhinitis and asthma. Although sensitization rates in children vary regionally, evidence suggests that allergy significantly impacts pediatric respiratory health and as its exposure worsens, respiratory outcomes in susceptible pediatric populations .

Background: One of the most important points in the treatment of food allergies is the avoidance of the culprit allergen. This study aimed to determine whether the training given by a dietitian to mothers of children with IgE-mediated food allergies increased the habit of reading food labels.
Methods: Mothers of children with IgE-mediated food allergies were trained on reading food labels by a dietitian.
