We report the experimental discovery of a new structural phase of well-known orthorhombic BaCuO ( = Sm and Eu), exhibiting a tetragonal crystal structure with space group . The high-pressure tetragonal phase is isostructural with the brown phase BaCuO ( = La, Pr, and Nd). In this structure, the Cu ions form an isolated square planar environment, contrary to the orthorhombic phase, where the Cu ions are located in a distorted square pyramid. Magnetization and specific heat measurements reveal the long-range antiferromagnetic order of the Cu and/or Sm moments for the Sm-sample, with the magnetic specific heat accounting for only 35% of the magnetic entropy. Interestingly, the Eu-sample remains paramagnetic down to the lowest temperature. The high Curie-Weiss temperature of -140 K and magnetic entropy of 3% of the expected value indicates that the system is highly frustrated. We estimated the isothermal entropy change and investigated the magnetocaloric effect for EuBaCuO, and the maximum entropy change detected at a field of 70 kOe at 3 K reaches 5.6 J kgK.

Background: The chaperoning system, which is responsible for protein homeostasis, plays a significant role in cardiovascular diseases. Among molecular chaperones or heat shock proteins (HSPs), the HSP40 family, the main co-chaperone of HSP70, remains largely underexplored, especially in ischemic heart disease (IHD) risk.
Materials And Results: We genotyped 834 IHD patients and 1,328 healthy controls for three SNPs (rs2034598 and rs7189628 DNAJA2 and rs4926222 DNAJB1) using probe-based real-time PCR.

This review provides a comprehensive overview of recent advancements in nanocarriers for CRC therapy, including passive targeting the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect, and active targeting strategies that exploit specific tumor markers using ligands such as antibodies, peptides, and aptamers.

This study investigates the probiotic and industrial suitability of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and non-LAB isolates from traditional Pakistani dairy, addressing gaps in region-specific probiotic discovery.

Surface sanitation is used to mitigate the transmission of infectious agents and is the collective process of washing a surface then rinsing it with potable water to remove debris and residual cleaning agent. If necessary and depending on surface type, contamination event, or regulatory requirement, an antimicrobial agent (chemical sanitizer or disinfectant) registered with the Environmental Protection Agency or heat (steam or hot water) can be applied to the surface to reduce or inactivate pathogenic microorganisms. The absence of universally defined terms and regulations pertaining to the various stages of surface sanitation has resulted in confusion, potentially leading to inadequate sanitation practices and persistent surface contamination.
