Historically, a primary aim of bioaerosol research has been to understand and prevent 'unhealthy' human exposures to pathogens and allergens. However, there has been a recent paradigm shift in thinking about bioaerosols. Exposure to a diverse aerobiome - the microbiome of the air - is now considered necessary to be healthy.

The expression "giving voice" has replaced the expression "making history" to describe what a historian does. What does it mean? Does this imply a paradigm shift? Has anything changed in the way history is made when it comes to voice? What is voice, and how can its history be written? What role does fiction (or ) play in coming to terms with this elusive concept? Can it point to particular politics of traces shared by both historical and literary writing? Drawing on the works of Giorgio Agamben, Elias Canetti, Michel Foucault, Alain Corbin, and Peter Brown, this article attempts to outline some tentative answers.

Background: Mental health research has long been structured around qualitative and quantitative methodologies, often marginalising experiential knowledge and reinforcing hierarchies of expertise. Although coproduction has gained traction as a participatory approach, its methodological status remains contested, leading to inconsistent practices and risks of tokenism.
Objective: This paper explores whether coproduction should be recognised not merely as a participatory ideal but as a third methodological pillar in mental health research, with distinct philosophical, ethical and practical foundations.

Age-related skeletal muscle decline is a major contributor to frailty, functional impairment, and loss of independence in advanced age. This process is characterized by selective atrophy of type II fibers, impaired excitation-contraction coupling, and reduced regenerative capacity. Emerging evidence implicates mitochondrial dysfunction as a central mechanism in the disruption of muscle homeostasis with age.

Fetal brain anomalies identified by prenatal ultrasound and/or magnetic resonance imaging represent a considerable healthcare burden with ∼1-2/1,000 live births. To identify the underlying etiology, trio prenatal exome sequencing or genome sequencing (ES/GS) has emerged as a comprehensive diagnostic paradigm with a reported diagnostic rate up to ∼32%. Here, we report five unrelated families with six affected individuals that presented neuroanatomical, craniofacial, and skeletal anomalies, all harboring rare, bi-allelic deleterious variants in SNAPIN, which encodes SNARE-associated protein.

Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) represent a paradigm shift and a therapeutic revolution in the management of mismatch repair-deficient/microsatellite instability-high (dMMR/MSI-H) colorectal cancer (CRC), and therefore for patients with Lynch syndrome (LS). The risk of developing metachronous cancers and colorectal polyps in a population of LS patients treated with ICI(s) is not well understood.
Materials And Methods: In a single-center cohort study, we retrospectively reviewed 93 LS patients from the prospective 'ImmunoMSI' cohort, who were diagnosed with dMMR/MSI-H gastrointestinal cancer and were treated with ICIs for index metastatic gastrointestinal cancer between February 2015 and April 2024.
