The study of time-dependent within-person dynamics has gained popularity in recent years through the use of multilevel (latent) time-series models. However, due to the complexity of the models, model applications are usually limited with respect to the inclusion of time-varying moderating factors on the longitudinal within-person relations between variables. That is, in common applications of multilevel time-series models, the within-person dynamics of constructs over time are regarded as being insensitive to changes in other time-varying factors or changes in contexts.

Parcellation of mesh models for cortical analysis is a central problem in neuroimaging. Most classical and deep learning methods have requisites in terms of mesh topology, requiring inputs that are homeomorphic to a sphere (i.e.

Early environmental conditions experienced during juvenile growth are known to have marked effects on adult phenotypes in animal populations. Yet, the life-history outcomes of variable growth strategies have rarely been investigated in wild populations. The aim of this study was to examine the natural variation of growth patterns displayed within a seabird population and assess their impact on juvenile survival, age at first reproduction, lifetime reproductive outputs (LRO) and longevity.

Introduction: Peripheral neuropathic pain (PNP) is a chronic condition often inadequately controlled by oral pharmacologic treatments. High-concentration capsaicin patch (HCCP) is a topical neurolytic treatment for PNP. This study assessed the cost-effectiveness of HCCP as an add-on to standard of care (SoC) in patients with PNP in Scotland.

Vision can be viewed as a continuous information processing, yet its underlying system properties have not been fully understood. Studies of visual serial dependence suggest that current perception is often biased by the preceding stimuli, raising the possibility of Markov-like processing-where only the previous state (not the ones before) affects the current one. In the current study, participants rated faces on two of three traits (attractiveness, trustworthiness, and dominance), presented in randomized sequences so each rating could be preceded by the same or a different trait.
