Purpose: The aim of the current study was to understand service users' experiences at a recently established student-led interprofessional neurodevelopmental clinic for children and adolescents with suspected or confirmed prenatal alcohol exposure.
Method: Semi-structured interviews were completed at 3-months post-clinic attendance with 10 service users: eight parents/caregivers and two youth workers/case managers. Interview data were analysed thematically using NVivo12.
Results: Four main themes were developed: (1) clinic attendance seen as a positive event; (2) validation, clarification, and relief, but also challenges post-assessment; (3) need for further support and importance of advocacy and (4) drawing on lived experiences for future service improvements.
Conclusions: The current study demonstrated that service users reported benefits from tailored services delivered by student practitioners that were validating, supportive, and holistic. Findings from the current study can inform the development and implementation of future innovative service delivery models for individuals with suspected or confirmed prenatal alcohol exposure.

Vaping product use-associated lung injury is a recently recognized respiratory illness that can occur in users of e-cigarettes or vaping products, including those marketed as nicotine‑free. We describe a previously healthy, 22‑year‑old male, non‑smoker who presented with progressive shortness of breath, non‑productive cough, pleuritic chest pain, low‑grade fever, and fatigue. He reported daily use of a flavored nicotine‑free vaping device for eight months, with increased use in the preceding month, including cartridges purchased from unregulated online sources.

Background: After remission of a first-episode psychosis (FEP), antipsychotic discontinuation is associated with an increased risk of relapse compared to maintenance treatment. We studied short and longer-term effects of discontinuation of D receptor (DR) antagonist and partial agonist antipsychotics on striatal dopamine DR availability in FEP patients.
Methods: Remitted FEP patients underwent two [C]raclopride PET scans to measure striatal DR availability: 1 week after antipsychotic discontinuation (n = 16 antagonist users, n = 6 partial agonist users) and after being medication free for 6-8 weeks (n = 8 antagonist users, n = 5 partial agonist users).

The International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use M10 guideline provides a global framework for bioanalytical method validation in studies intended for regulatory submission. While its structure ensures consistency and data reliability, the guideline also acknowledges that not all studies require the same level of validation. This paper examines where full compliance is essential and where scientific judgment allows for leaner, context-driven validation, such as in early-stage development, for additional matrices, metabolites, nonstandard biological matrices or studies intended for internal decision-making.

We developed a dashboard for a collaborative of home infusion agencies to monitor an important safety outcome, central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI). We used the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to understand key components of implementing a CLABSI surveillance dashboard in a home infusion therapy environment.

Laying hens possess a calcium-specific appetite that intensifies towards lights out to meet the high demands for eggshell formation and skeletal maintenance. Pecking blocks (PBs) are edible enrichments that can serve as an additional calcium source. We explored the relationships between PB preference (PBp), PB use, keel fracture status (KS), and eggshell quality.
