Gynecologic malignancies are among the most common cancers in women worldwide and account for significant morbidity and mortality. Management and consequently overall patient survival is reliant upon early detection, accurate staging and early detection of any recurrence. Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography (PET-CT) play an essential role in the detection, characterization, staging and restaging of the most common gynecologic malignancies, namely the cervical, endometrial and ovarian malignancies. Recent advances in imaging including functional MRI, hybrid imaging with Positron Emission Tomography (PET/MRI) contribute even more to lesion specification and overall role of imaging in gynecologic malignancies. Radiomics is a neoteric approach which aspires to enhance decision support by extracting quantitative information from radiological imaging.

Paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration (PCD) is a rare neurological disorder caused by tumor-mediated antibodies targeting the cerebellum, often leading to irreversible cerebellar damage. The most common antibody implicated in PCD is anti-Purkinje cell cytoplasmic antibody type-1, associated with malignancies such as breast, gynecological, and lung cancers. Symptoms often include dizziness, imbalance, progressive ataxia, and other cerebellar signs/symptoms, but early presentations may mimic acute vestibular syndrome, thus complicating diagnosis.

Whole blood (WB) transcriptomics offers a minimal-invasive method to assess patients' immune system. This study aimed to identify transcriptional patterns in WB associated with clinical outcomes in patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). We performed RNA-sequencing on pre-treatment WB samples from 145 patients with advanced cancer.

Purpose: Ovarian cancer ranks as a gynecological malignancy with poor prognosis, specifically if detected late. Primary treatment includes cytoreductive surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy with curative intent. Local anesthetics (LA) administered in the perioperative period may potentially impact patient outcome by several mechanisms.

Background: Electronic health records (EHRs) are a cornerstone of modern health care delivery, but their current configuration often fragments information across systems, impeding timely and effective clinical decision-making. In gynecological oncology, where care involves complex, multidisciplinary coordination, these limitations can significantly impact the quality and efficiency of patient management. Few studies have examined how EHR systems support clinical decision-making from the perspective of end users.

Peritoneal carcinomatosis represents an exceptionally rare metastatic pattern of cutaneous malignant melanoma, occurring in fewer than 1% of cases with distant spread and typically within the first few years after primary treatment. This report presents an unusual case with a markedly prolonged disease-free interval, clinically mimicking advanced ovarian carcinoma. We report the case of a 53-year-old woman treated more than 10 years ago for stage IIB nodular melanoma with surgery and adjuvant therapy.
