Neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy (nICT) has demonstrated significant potential in improving pathological response rates and survival outcomes for patients with locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). However, substantial interindividual variability in therapeutic outcomes highlights the urgent need for more precise predictive tools to guide clinical decision-making. Traditional biomarkers remain limited in both predictive performance and clinical feasibility.

Design: Longitudinal retrospective cohort analysis.
Setting: This study was nested within the AlzEye cohort, which links longitudinal multimodal retinal imaging data routinely collected from a large tertiary ophthalmic institution in London, UK, with nationally held hospital admissions data across England.

We propose a Biophysically Restrained Analog Integrated Neural Network (BRAINN), an analog electrical network that models the dynamics of brain function. The network interconnects analog electrical circuits that simulate two tightly coupled brain processes: (1) propagation of an action potential, and (2) regional cerebral blood flow in response to the metabolic demands of signal propagation. These two processes are modeled by two branches of an electrical circuit comprising a resistor, a capacitor, and an inductor.

Left atrial appendage (LAA) closure has emerged as a critical therapeutic option for stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation who are unsuitable for long-term oral anticoagulation. Multimodality imaging plays a pivotal role throughout the LAA closure process, from pre-procedural planning to long-term follow-up. This review focuses on the complementary roles of cardiac computed tomography (CCT) and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), outlining their respective strengths and limitations in various phases of LAA management, while also discussing the roles of intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) and fluoroscopy.

Classic radiological signs in imaging serve as visual clues that aid in narrowing the differential diagnosis and enhancing diagnostic confidence. This review article highlights key imaging signs encountered in hepatic pathology across multiple modalities including ultrasound, CT, and MRI. We explore some of the characteristic signs associated with hepatic neoplastic, infectious, vascular lesions, anatomicvariations and miscellaneous conditions, discussing their pathophysiology, diagnosticutility and clinical relevance.
