Deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) students often experience systemic barriers to academic success, especially low expectations of what they know and can do. Longitudinal data analysis is critical to understanding how academic achievement for DHH students progresses over time and where they may need additional support on their academic journey to achieve at the level of their hearing peers. This study provides an analysis of NWEA MAP® Growth™ data from grades 2 to 8 across seven reading and mathematics domains over a period of 5 years. Results indicate that both DHH and hearing students continue to build skills through this period, and that DHH students, contrary to many previously held assumptions, do not necessarily plateau in the elementary grades.

Background: This study investigated teachers' perceptions of the obstacles facing students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) and the support they believe is needed to overcome these obstacles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was employed, and sixty-eight teachers from all educational stages were surveyed. The survey focused on four areas: platforms, communication, teaching, training, and collaboration.
The development of literacy skills of d/Deaf and hard of hearing (d/Dhh) children and adolescents has been a long-standing challenge for educators. There is a need for researchers and scholars to investigate this challenge to proffer evidence-based practices. This systematic review focuses on the development of reading for both d/Dhh and, for comparison purposes, typical (hearing) Turkish students.

Many students in STEM experience decreased performance due to anxiety, namely math and science anxiety. However, spatial skills are correlated with better STEM outcomes. Our research addressed a previous gap in the literature, investigating if STEM anxiety or spatial experiences have a stronger relationship with STEM outcomes.
