Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is widely applied for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. Repeat TACE is often required in clinical practice because a satisfactory tumor response may not be achieved with a single session. However, repeated TACE procedures can impair liver function and increase treatment-related adverse events, all of which prompted the introduction of the concept of "TACE failure/refractoriness". Mainly based on evidence from two retrospective studies conducted in Japan, sorafenib is recommended as the first choice for subsequent treatment after TACE failure/refractoriness. Several studies have investigated the outcomes of other subsequent treatments, including locoregional, other molecular targeted, anti-programmed death-1/anti-programed death ligand-1 therapies, and combination therapies after TACE failure/refractoriness. In this review, we summarize the up-to-date information about the outcomes of several subsequent treatment modalities after TACE failure/refractoriness.

Introduction: People with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases are advised to do aerobic exercise for symptom relief and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Continuous exercise at an intensity causing a rate of perceived exertion of 15, on a 6-20-point Borg scale, exemplifies such exercise. Also, the instruction "Now you need to increase your heart rate" is used before aerobic exercise.

Unlabelled: Aortic dissection is a life-threatening cardiovascular emergency, particularly Stanford type A, which typically necessitates urgent surgical intervention. Despite advances in surgical techniques and perioperative care, preoperative bleeding and coagulopathy remain significant challenges. Tranexamic acid, an antifibrinolytic agent, is widely used to minimize perioperative bleeding in cardiovascular surgeries; however, its role in the non-surgical, preoperative stabilization of aortic dissection has not been well established.

Background: Blinatumomab and inotuzumab ozogamicin (InO) are B-cell targeted agents used in the frontline and relapsed/refractory treatment of B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (B-ALL). Blinatumomab, a bispecific T-cell engager that targets CD19 and CD3, and InO, an antibody-drug conjugate targeting CD22, have both shown efficacy. However, recent reports have noted lineage conversion as a complication when these agents are used individually or sequentially.

Ultra-sensitive pH-responsive drug delivery system designed to operate within the slightly acidic microenvironment of tumors are highly desired for hydrogel applications in cancer therapy. In this study, 4-Formylbenzoic acid modified polyvinyl alcohol (PVA-FBA, PF) was synthesized and utilized as a carrier for encapsulating the anticancer drug Doxorubicin (Dox). This was subsequently crosslinked with polyethylenimine (PEI) via benzoic-imine bond to form drug-loaded PVA-FBA/PEI hydrogel (D-PFP).
