Megadiverse countries, which collectively harbor over 70% of the planet's terrestrial biodiversity, play a crucial role in global conservation efforts. However, many of these nations, primarily in the developing world, face significant environmental challenges that threaten biodiversity, including pollution, habitat loss, and climate change. Among these issues, pollution-driven by industrialization, agriculture, and improper waste disposal-has emerged as a critical concern, particularly for water and soil ecosystems.

Background: Climate distress is a psychological reaction to adverse weather events and climate change. These events can increase people's vulnerability to develop psychiatric disorders like anxiety, depression, and PTSD particularly in disaster-prone regions like India.
Aim: To explore the relationship between climate distress and psychological impact with a particular emphasis on women, elderly, and other at risk populations who owing to their health vulnerabilities, lack of resources or social roles that make them dependent on others, experience stress in the face of climate change.

The increased workload and constant fear for life can cause significant stress and depression among healthcare workers (HCWs). The aim of this study was to measure psychological stress, depression, and their causes in HCWs who practiced in the Gaza strip since the 2023 Israel-Gaza war. We conducted a cross-sectional survey between April 2024 and January 2025 for Palestinian and international HCWs who practiced in the Gaza strip after October 7, 2023.
