Phytoecdysones from seem to be promising agents for skincare in patients with psoriasis. The aim of the study was to determine the effects of creams containing the extract of on psoriatic lesions. Creams with different formulas were prepared: 0-Lekobaza, 1-Lekobaza, , 2-Lekobaza, Salicylic acid, 3-Lekobaza, , Salicylic acid. After examination of skin penetration and biosafety, the designated cream was applied twice daily for 6 weeks on 72 psoriatic plaques located on elbows or knees. The lesions were assessed at baseline and follow-up of 6 weeks. The lesions area was measured, and severity of scaling, erythema, and infiltration was assessed using a 5-point scale (from 0-none to 4-very severe). Skin hydration and structure, pH, transepidermal water loss, erythema, and melanin index were analyzed instrumentally. Creams 1, 2, and 3 significantly reduced the area of psoriatic plaques. Improvement in erythema and infiltration was observed for creams 1 and 3. Creams 1-3 reduced scaling. Our study confirmed a beneficial effect of creams containing extract on psoriatic lesions.

Background In acne-prone skin, the loss of homeostasis leads to aberrant epithelial differentiation, promoting the formation of microcomedones. The maintenance of sebaceous stem cell homeostasis has emerged as a new therapeutic target in acne management. Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, tolerability, and safety of a topical formulation combining retinaldehyde, glycolic acid, and Silybum marianum fruit extract for the treatment of acne vulgaris.

A common and fatal consequence of diabetes, diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) are linked to an increased risk of mortality and amputation. The current study aimed to develop and evaluate a polyherbal gel formulation (PGF) employing hydro-alcoholic extracts of (fruits), (leaves), (fruits), and (bark) at different concentrations for the efficient treatment and management of DFU. The anti-oxidant, anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and wound healing activities of PGFs were investigated using a range of cell-based assays and animal models.

Wound healing is a complex biological process that benefits greatly from effective topical treatments. This study compares the healing potential of two natural formulations: propolis cream and Persea americana cream. Twelve albino rats were divided into four groups: a negative control group with no injury, a positive control group with injury but no treatment, a group treated with propolis cream post-injury, and a group treated with the Persea americana cream post-injury, with three rats in each group.

This study fabricated and applied spray-dried microcapsules of polyphenol-rich crude extract from rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.) peel. The influence of encapsulant composition based on maltodextrin, rice starch, and polysaccharide gums on microcapsule physicochemical properties, encapsulation efficiency, and antioxidant activity were investigated.
