Introduction: Cigarette smoking negatively affects lung cancer prognosis. Incorporating smoking history into stage-stratified survival analyses may improve prognostication.
Methods: Using the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer ninth edition NSCLC database, we evaluated the association between smoking status at diagnosis and overall survival (OS) using Kaplan-Meier plots and multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression models adjusted for age, region, sex, histologic type, performance status, and TNM stage.

Discrepancies between computed tomography angiography (CTA) and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) may impact procedural planning and device selection. Engaging men as advocates and change agents is a critical mechanism to challenge and reform the social and political factors that impact women's sexual and reproductive health. While there is a growing body of evidence that well-designed interventions can increase males' gender-equitable attitudes and behaviors regarding sexual and reproductive health, most studies focus on men as partners. This paper describes the development and implementation of Men in the Movement, an intervention that provides a safe space for young men of color in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana, to consider a gender-equitable future of manhood, discuss issues that are important to them, and to empower them to become advocates and leaders in their communities.

Introduction: The Serious Illness Conversation Guide-Pediatrics (SICG-Peds) is a validated tool and training program that increases clinicians' confidence in leading complex conversations with seriously ill pediatric patients and their families. We initiated a pilot project incorporating bereaved parents as facilitators in SICG-Peds education.
Objectives: To assess how incorporating bereaved parents in a facilitator role in the SICG-Peds education program impacted the experience for clinician trainees and clinical facilitators and the parents themselves.

Background: In healthcare education, virtual reality (VR), simulating real-world situations, is emerging as a tool to improve communication skills, particularly in sensitive scenarios involving patients and caregivers. While promising, VR-based education also poses challenges such as avatar realism, cognitive load, and the need for pedagogical grounding.
Objective: This protocol paper presents the VR-TALKS project, which aims to develop, apply, and evaluate VR scenarios designed to teach healthcare students communication skills in serious illness scenarios.
