Background: Coinciding with the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, malaria cases and malaria-related deaths increased globally between 2020 and 2022. However, evidence linking the pandemic to increased malaria burden remains ambiguous. We assessed the extent to which an observed malaria resurgence in Lambaréné, Gabon, can be associated with pandemic-related disruptions in malaria control programmes.

Objective: This study aimed to explore participant reflections after receipt of prenatal genome sequencing (GS) results in the absence of fetal anomalies.
Methods: Participants invited to complete a semi-structured interview consented to future research, were English speaking, and were between 30 days and 1 year since the conclusion of their sequenced pregnancy. A total of 18 interviews were conducted with 21 participants (3 couples interviewed concurrently) representing 15 unique pregnancies (81% term deliveries, 14% terminated pregnancies, and 5% preterm delivery).

Background: There is a limited understanding of how older patients perceive the potential of using wearables for remote monitoring (RM) at home. Exploring patients' perspectives prior to the implementation of wearables in healthcare can offer valuable insights into what may enhance the effectiveness and outcomes of RM.
Objectives: The objective of this study was to explore the expectations of older patients with a susceptible chronic illness towards prospective use of the Oura Ring for health monitoring at home.

The relationship of such a companion can vary, ranging from first-degree relatives to friends with no familial relationship. Similarly, the degree of influence a companion has on a patient's treatment and reconstruction journey may also vary.
