Objectives: Determining infection histories of individuals with prior immunity is critical to studying SARS-CoV-2 imprinting and vaccine responses. To better understand the response to infection, we examine nucleocapsid protein antibody dynamics around first and second SARS-CoV-2 infections in vaccinated and unvaccinated adults.
Methods: The presence and levels of nucleocapsid-antibodies were measured around first and second SARS-CoV-2 infections.

Despite the efforts to prevent vertical transmission of HIV, about 130 000 children worldwide acquire HIV each year, and 40% of those remain undiagnosed. Many factors contribute to this poor outcome including, but not limited to, failure to identify mothers seroconverting during pregnancy or postpartum, suboptimal early infant diagnosis, misinterpretation of negative test results in children before the end of breastfeeding, and child testing not being a key indicator for national programmes. To close the paediatric HIV diagnosis gap and improve child mortality rates, several changes are necessary.

Here we investigate associations between HLA polymorphism and serological and T-lymphocyte responses to the BNT162b2 and ChAdOx1 SARS-CoV-2 vaccines within a population receiving maintenance haemodialysis (HD) for End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Our primary objective was to identify HLA alleles associated with diminished serological and T-cellular responsiveness to vaccination.

Coinfection with human papillomavirus (HPV) and HIV compounds the risks of developing cervical, anal, and HPV-associated oral neoplasia. Safe prophylactic vaccines are available to prevent HPV infections in people with HIV(PWH). Yet, vaccine efficacy and duration of protection remain questionable.

Background: A recent conditional recommendation suggests considering live-attenuated vaccines for solid organ transplant recipients, yet the conditions of their safe and effective administration remain unclear.
Methods: This prospective study was conducted at Keio University Hospital from 2002 to August 2023. We gave a live-attenuated vaccine to liver transplant (LT) recipients fulfilling criteria for live-attenuated vaccines, including criteria for humoral and cell-mediated immunity.
