Background: Congenital accessory auricle is a common aurcile malformation, often associated with tragus malformation, impacting the appearance and psychology of patients. To optimize surgical treatments for congenital accessory auricle with tragus malformation, this article proposes a novel classification and explores surgical strategies.

Methods: This retrospective study included 120 patients with congenital accessory auricle and tragus malformation who underwent surgery between December 2019 and June 2024.

The majority of the literature contains outcomes of paediatric otoplasty with multiple surgeons' outcomes. However, to date, a single surgeon's case series numbering over 1000 adult cases in the same center has not been published. Cosmetic ear surgery in adults requires a completely different approach compared with children for the operating surgeon regarding assessment and technique.

Individually foraging ants use egocentric views as a dominant navigation strategy for learning and retracing routes. Evidence suggests that route retracing can be achieved by algorithms which use views as 'visual compasses', where individuals choose the heading that leads to the most familiar visual scene when compared to route memories. However, such a mechanism does not naturally lead to route approach, and alternative strategies are required to enable convergence when off-route and for correcting on-route divergence.

Background: Hybrid entertainment formats combining competitive and comedic elements present opportunities to investigate factors driving audience engagement. I analyzed Taskmaster UK (2015-2023), a BAFTA-winning comedy panel show where comedians compete in creative tasks judged by a host, to quantify relationships between scoring mechanics, performer characteristics, and viewer ratings.

Methods: I analyzed 154 episodes encompassing 917 tasks performed by 90 contestants, with audience reception measured through 32,607 IMDb votes.

With the aim of expanding the possibilities of identifying termite species, in the present study we generated genetic data based on sequences of the mitochondrial gene encoding cytochrome c oxidase subunit II (COII) for termites (Blattodea: Isoptera) occurring in the state of Paraíba, northeastern Brazil. The genetic data were obtained from 135 COII sequences identified in 28 genera and 48 species. These are the first COII sequences for 15 taxa (31.
