Background: Gastric cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide, with its prognosis influenced by factors such as tumor clinical stage, histological type, and the patient's overall health. Recent studies highlight the critical role of lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs) in the tumor microenvironment. Perturbations in LEC function in gastric cancer, marked by aberrant activation or damage, disrupt lymphatic fluid dynamics and impede immune cell infiltration, thereby modulating tumor progression and patient prognosis.

Ado-trastuzumab is considered a standard treatment for patients with HER2+ metastatic breast cancer (mBC). Current clinical practices do not reliably predict therapeutic outcomes for patients who are refractory to therapy. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as critical regulators of gene expression and therapeutic resistance, and the use of lncRNAs as tumor biomarkers is becoming more common in other diseases.

Department of Internal Medicine, National Taiwan University Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan; Health Management Center, National Taiwan University Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan; Endoscopic Division, Department of Integrated Diagnostic & Therapeutics, National Taiwan University Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan.

Background And Purpose: Colonoscopy is an essential diagnostic and therapeutic tool for lower gastrointestinal bleeding (LGIB), with colonoscopic hemostasis needed in a subset of patients. We aim to identify risk factors associated with colonoscopic hemostasis requirement in acute LGIB patients.

Methods: This retrospective study examined consecutive patients who underwent colonoscopy for acute LGIB at a single tertiary hospital between November 2020 and May 2023.

Background And Aims: Obesity-related non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) are known to be associated to some extent. Nevertheless, this relationship remains unclear in non-obese individuals.

Methods And Results: A prospective cohort study was conducted using data from the health check ups of employees at Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Hospital in Ningbo City.

Background: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) pathogenesis is multi-factorial, involving synergistic interactions among genetic susceptibility, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection, and environmental exposures. Notably, specific multi-generational families exhibit NPC incidence substantially exceeding both sporadic cases and general genetic susceptibility cohorts, demonstrating Mendelian inheritance patterns. This supports the hypothesis that high penetrance pathogenic variants dominate disease initiation and progression in familial NPC.
