A 24GHz Doppler radar system for accurate contactless monitoring of heart and respiratory rates is demonstrated here. High accuracy predictions are achieved by employing a CNN+LSTM neural network architecture for regression analysis. Detection accuracies of 99% and 98% have been attained for heart rate and respiration rate, respectively.Clinical Relevance- This work establishes a non-contact radar system with 99% detection accuracy for a heart rate variability warning system. This system can enable convenient and fast monitoring for daily care at home.

Background: Fetal tachycardias can cause adverse fetal outcomes including ventricular dysfunction, hydrops, and fetal demise. Postnatally, ECG is the gold standard, but, in fetal practice, echocardiography is used most frequently to diagnose and monitor fetal arrhythmias. Noninvasive extraction of the fetal ECG (fECG) may provide additional information about the electrophysiological mechanism and monitoring of intermittent arrhythmias.

Background: There is a higher prevalence of heart rate corrected QT (QTc) prolongation in patients with diabetes and metabolic syndrome. QT interval genome-wide association studies have identified candidate genes for cardiac energy metabolism, and experimental studies suggest that polyunsaturated fatty acids have direct effects on ion channel function. Despite this, there has been limited study of metabolite concentration relationships with QT intervals.

This growing population requires lifelong care and support to manage their condition. Digital health innovations, such as the "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) tool, aim to empower patients and improve collaboration with clinicians.

Objective: Transvenous lead extraction (TLE) is used in various clinical scenarios, such as device-related infections. Mechanically powered sheaths are one of the most commonly used tools for TLE procedures. We evaluated the procedural and clinical outcomes of a novel extraction technique for chronically implanted leads in the treatment of device-related infections.

Understanding the practices and perceptions of primary care providers in hearing health is key to understanding gaps in hearing health care for patients. We conducted a quality improvement study at an urban tertiary academic facility from January–June 2024.
