Background: Genetic modifiers are believed to play an important role in the onset and severity of polycystic kidney disease (PKD), but identifying these modifiers has been challenging due to the lack of effective methodologies.
Methods: We generated zebrafish mutants of IFT140, a skeletal ciliopathy gene and newly identified autosomal dominant PKD (ADPKD) gene, to examine skeletal development and kidney cyst formation in larval and juvenile mutants. Additionally, we utilized ift140 crispants, generated through efficient microhomology-mediated end joining (MMEJ)-based genome editing, to compare phenotypes with mutants and conduct a pilot genetic modifier screen.

Fibroblast activation protein (FAP) is an attractive biomarker for tumor-targeting radioligands. While [Ga]Ga-FAPI-46 is a promising FAP-targeting radioligand for cancer diagnosis, clinical application of [Lu]Lu-FAPI-46 for targeted radionuclide therapy is limited due to its insufficient tumor retention. Albumin binder (ALB) including 4-(-iodophenyl)butyric acid is widely utilized to improve tumor accumulation of radioligands.

Objective: To analyze clinical data and predictors of mortality neonatal spontaneous gastric perforation (SGP).
Material And Methods: A two-center retrospective cohort study included neonates diagnosed with SGP between 1999 and 2023. This cohort was divided into survivors and dead neonates to identify prognostic factors of mortality.

The rate of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) is ~1 per 1000 patients each year. Terminal events reportedly involve repeated and prolonged apnea, suggesting a failure to autoresuscitate. To better understand the mechanisms and identify novel therapeutics, standardized tests to screen for autoresuscitation efficacy are needed in preclinical SUDEP.

Introduction: Orthopaedic surgery has historically been among the least ethnically diverse fields in medicine. The latest American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Census report in 2018 indicates that only 2.2% of all practicing orthopaedic surgeons in the United States identify as Hispanic/Latino.
