Article Abstract

As a new kind of highly efficient luminescent materials, quasi-two-dimensional (quasi-2D) perovskites show great potential in industrial display applications. In this work, the poling methods are used in modulating the phase arrangement in quasi-2D perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs). We find the effective modulation of different phase components in uniform arrangement can enhance both brightness and current efficiency to 30 810 cd/m and 8.3 cd/A, about 2 times in comparison to results for the control devices. Upon further investigation by optical and impedance spectroscopy, we find the phase modulation can improve the balance of charge carrier injection without sacrificing the transport ability. We believe our studies can provide new inspiration on the influence of phase arrangement in PeLED devices.

Unlabelled: Despite stimulating glucagon secretion, the mechanisms by which protein ingestion lowers glucose excursions remain unclear. We investigated this using the triple stable isotope glucose tracer technique to measure postprandial glucose fluxes. Eleven healthy adults completed three trials, ingesting 25 g glucose (25G; 100 kcal), 50 g glucose (50G; 200 kcal), or 25 g glucose plus 25 g whey protein (25WG; 200 kcal).

Stress engineering is an effective way to tune the performance of semiconductors, which has been verified in the work of inorganic and organic single-crystal semiconductors. However, due to the limitations of the vapor-phase growth preparation conditions, the deposited polycrystalline organic semiconductors are more susceptible to residual stress. Therefore, it is of great research significance to develop a low-cost stress engineering applicable to vapor-deposited semiconductors.

To address the increasingly limited water availability, using metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) to capture atmospheric water vapor as usable resources has emerged as a promising strategy. The adsorption characteristics of MOFs as well as their step pressure (i.e.

Alpha oscillations have been implicated in the maintenance of working memory representations. Notably, when memorised content is spatially lateralised, the power of posterior alpha activity exhibits corresponding lateralisation during the retention interval, consistent with the retinotopic organisation of the visual cortex. Beyond power, alpha frequency has also been linked to memory performan ce, with faster alpha rhythms associated with enhanced retention.

The human auditory system must distinguish relevant sounds from noise. Severe hearing loss can be treated with cochlear implants (CIs), but how the brain adapts to electrical hearing remains unclear. This study examined adaptation to unilateral CI use in the first and seventh months after CI activation using speech comprehension measures and electroencephalography recordings, both during passive listening and an active spatial listening task.
