Heterotopic pancreas is pancreatic tissue present outside of the normal location of the pancreas. In the presence of cystic degeneration, heterotopic pancreas is clinically significant because of the symptoms it causes and its physical resemblance to cancerous growth. A diagnosis of heterotopic pancreas is achieved with the aid of various endoscopic techniques for tissue removal. Submucosal tunneling endoscopic resection has proven successful for the resection of gastric subepithelial masses. We present a 53-year-old woman undergoing submucosal tunneling endoscopic resection for the resection of a subepithelial gastric cyst caused by heterotopic pancreas with cystic degeneration.

Heterotopic pancreas is a congenital malformation of various shapes and origins and is usually asymptomatic, which can simulate benign tumors on imaging, so diagnosis usually requires biopsy or surgical resection. We present a young woman with abdominal distension who was found to have a gastric mass that was suspected to be a gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) by gastroscopy and enhanced CT. 68Ga-NOTA-RM26 PET/CT, a novel imaging modality targeting the gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR), also showed intense uptake in the mass.

Background: Groove pancreatitis is an unusual form of chronic pancreatitis that can be mistaken for a pancreatic head neoplasm.
Background: Once the diagnosis is confirmed, clinical management follows the standard recommendations for chronic pancreatitis.
Background: Surgery is indicated when clinical treatment fails or when there is diagnostic uncertainty regarding pancreatic neoplasia.

Heterotopic pancreas is a rare, benign condition characterized by the presence of pancreatic tissue outside its normal anatomical location, and its association with malignancy is extremely rare. Gastritis cystica profunda (GCP), also a rare condition, is the cystic formation of gastric glands in the stomach submucosa and/or muscularis propria. We present the case of a 65-year-old male with who presented to the emergency department (ED) with 6 day history of worsening epigastric pain and nonbloody emesis.

Background: The clinical course and manifestations of subepithelial lesions (SEL) patients tend to vary from different pathological types, therefore the accurate diagnosis of SEL would undoubtedly be beneficial to the treatment and prognosis of SEL patients. Based on the decision tree method, we developed a novel classification model for SELs by combining endoscopy with endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
Methods: We retrospectively collected data from 469 patients hospitalized in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University between January 2017 to November 2021 for endoscopic resection.
