Purpose: The liver-brain axis regulates metabolic homeostasis, with glucose metabolism playing a key role. Liver dysfunction, such as fibrosis, may impact brain metabolism and consequently, brain function. Positron emission tomography (PET) imaging provides a non-invasive approach to study glucose metabolism in both organs.

Since Hans Driesch's pioneering work in 1891, it has been known that animal embryos can develop into complete individuals even when divided. However, the developmental processes and molecular mechanisms enabling this self-organization remain poorly understood. In this study, we revisit Driesch's experiments by examining the development of isolated 2-cell stage blastomeres in the sea urchin, Hemicentrotus pulcherrimus.

This study investigated how different dietary roughages, Napier-Pakchong (NP), jumbo sorghum (JB), and rice straw (RS) fed to Holstein-Friesian (HF) crossbred cows affect the nutritional, techno-functional, and sensory properties of mozzarella cheese under tropical conditions in Bangladesh. Iso-nitrogenous (≈12.54% CP) and iso-energetic (ME ≈2.

Methods: Cadaveric hind limbs from medium- to large-breed dogs without radiographic evidence of stifle pathology were used in this ex vivo experimental study. Each limb underwent TPLO, and a custom 3-D-printed guide was used to induce tibial torsion at 0°, 5°, and 10° in internal and external directions.
