Core-shell palladium cube@CeO (Pd cube@CeO) nanoparticles are shown to display oxidase-like activity. This is exploited in a method for determination of the activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP). The Pd cube@CeO nanoparticles were thermally synthesized from Ce(NO), L-arginine and preformed Pd cube seeds in water. The Pd cube@CeO nanoparticles catalyze the oxidation of 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) by oxygen. This results in the formation of oxidized TMB (oxTMB) with an absorption peak at 652 nm. Ascorbic acid (AA) is generated from the hydrolysis of L-ascorbic acid 2-phosphate (AAP) catalyzed by ALP. It can reduce oxTMB to TMB, and this results in a decrease of the absorbance. The method allows for quantitative determination of the activity of ALP in the range from 0.1 to 4.0 U·L and with a detection limit down to 0.07 U·L. Endowed with high sensitivity and selectivity, the assay can quantify ALP activity in biological system with satisfactory results. A series of Cu-based single-atom catalysts (SACs) with asymmetric coordination were designed to accelerate lithium-sulfur (Li-S) chemistry. Importance: Cannabis is the most commonly used illicit drug, with 10% to 30% of regular users developing cannabis use disorder (CUD), a condition linked to altered hippocampal integrity. Evidence suggests high-intensity interval training (HIIT) enhances hippocampal structure and function, with this form of physical exercise potentially mitigating CUD-related cognitive and mental health impairments.
Objective: To determine the impact of a 12-week HIIT intervention on hippocampal integrity (ie, structure, connectivity, biochemistry) compared with 12 weeks of strength and resistance (SR) training in CUD.

IntroductionDaratumumab is a therapeutic cornerstone of the management of multiple myeloma, exerting its anti-myeloma activity through targeting of the cell surface glycoprotein CD38 on plasma cells. While originally given intravenously, the subcutaneous formulation, daratumumab hyaluronidase injection (Dara SC), has been associated with non-inferior efficacy and lower infusion-related reaction rates (IRRs) in the treatment of multiple myeloma and light chain amyloidosis. A noted benefit of Dara SC is a short administration time; however, the optimal observation time post injection to ensure patient safety is unclear from the drug labeling.
