This narrative review will explore the importance of movement in wound healing, specifically in relation to venous leg ulcers (VLUs), particularly in older people. It reviews the effect of immobility from both a physical and psychological perspective, looking at different body systems, as well as the impact of having a wound. An overview of some research evidence on the positive effect of exercise/movement on wound healing and general health and wellbeing are presented, along with the impact of exercising in green spaces and the positive psychological benefits of exposure to green spaces.

Open Educational Resources (OER) offer a transformative approach to education by providing freely accessible learning materials. However, creating OER that meet the FAIR principles-findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable-while navigating the complexities of copyright law presents unique challenges. This paper serves as a practical guide for educators and institutions wishing to develop and share FAIR-compliant OER while respecting intellectual property rights.

The essential technique of Goldmann tonometry is thought to have a risk of nosocomial infection, and thus there has been pressure to use single-use tonometer tips or slower and more-costly methods of disinfection for reusable tips. Here we review the evidence of infection from tonometry and the evidence behind different disinfection methods. The only infection reported to be transmitted by tonometry is adenoviral epidemic keratoconjunctivitis, which is also transmitted without tonometry and is a relatively low-morbidity infection.

Four infographics, inspired by articles on simulation-based education for ophthalmologists, were created to simplify complex ideas. The study evaluated the infographics' effectiveness aligning with published recommendations to make simulation education user-friendly and practical, supporting busy ophthalmologist educators in designing and facilitating simulation training sessions.

Molecular docking is a useful method for predicting the binding affinity and conformation of small chemical entities to support lead optimisation. It is also used to virtually screen a large chemical database to find new chemical entities. There are several docking programs available with different algorithms and varying preparation steps.
