Background: Children with congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV) have a wide spectrum of possible neurodevelopmental outcomes.

Objectives: To describe neurodevelopmental (ND) Phenotypes of children with cCMV based on medical, developmental, and behavioral outcomes in childhood, and examine whether birth characteristics were associated with ND Phenotype.

Methods: Caregivers of children with cCMV (N = 242, child aged 12 months to <11 years) completed survey instruments reporting on the child's birth characteristics, reasons for cCMV testing, and present medical, developmental, and behavioral status.

This analysis evaluates the longitudinal impact of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and ventricular assist device (VAD) on the progression of motor delay and cognitive delay in pediatric heart transplant recipients. The United Network for Organ Sharing Registry was queried for pediatric patients (<18 years) who received a heart transplant between 2008 and 2022 and were bridged-to-transplantation with either ECMO or VAD. Patients were further stratified based on the progression of delay status pretransplant to post-transplant.

Background: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder lacking objective biomarkers for early diagnosis. DNA methylation is a promising epigenetic marker, and machine learning offers a data-driven classification approach. However, few studies have examined whole-blood, genome-wide DNA methylation profiles for ASD diagnosis in school-aged children.

Introduction Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus (NDI) is a rare condition caused by renal resistance to the action of antidiuretic hormone (ADH) at the level of the distal tubule, resulting in impaired urinary concentration and consequent polyuria. NDI may be hereditary, most commonly X-linked due to AVPR2 gene mutations, or acquired. Objective To characterize the clinical features, management strategies, and outcomes of patients with NDI followed at a tertiary pediatric nephrology center.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental syndrome that impacts two main areas: social communication and restrictive or repetitive behaviors. Other symptoms and comorbidities may be manifested, according to the different clinical presentations and severity levels. ASD diagnosis can be performed by two years of age; however, certain diagnostic challenges may lead to a late diagnosis and significant intervention delay.
