The importance of social science to address the human dimensions of natural resource management is increasingly recognized in the conservation field, yet the application of associated concepts, theories, methods, and data remains underrepresented in parts of Europe. Common barriers and gaps, persistent over decades, including institutional constraints, work environment, different cultures and languages between natural and social science disciplines, lack of qualified personnel, and an accessible professional community, are often cited as underlying and driving factors. The global prevalence of mental health disorders among youths aged 15 to 24 is a significant public health concern. This systematic review aimed to explore global strategies for promoting mental well-being and addressing mental health challenges within this demographic, as defined by the World Health Organization. A comprehensive search of electronic scientific databases was conducted on November 1, 2023, yielding 43 studies with a total of 29,581 participants published between 2008 and 2023 that examined mental health interventions targeting youth.

This demographic, born between 1981 and 1996, represents a significant portion of caregivers in the United States, with unique challenges due to higher mental distress and poorer physical health compared to non-caregivers. Latinx Millennial caregivers face additional barriers, including higher uninsured rates and increased caregiving burdens.

It has been argued that fungi have cognitive capacities, and even conscious experiences. While these arguments risk ushering in unproductive disputes about how words like "mind," "cognitive," "sentient," and "conscious" should be used, paying close attention to key properties of fungal life can also be uncontroversially productive for cognitive science. Attention to fungal life can, for example, inspire new, potentially fruitful directions of research in cognitive science.
