Clinical documentation in healthcare institutions is one of the daily tasks that consumes most of the time for those involved. The adoption of mobile devices in medical practice increases efficiency among healthcare professionals. We describe the design and evaluation of an automatic speech recognition system that enables the transcription of audio to text of clinical notes in a mobile environment. Our system achieved 94.1% word accuracy when evaluated on pediatrics, internal medicine and surgery services.

Background: Electronic health records (EHRs) are a cornerstone of modern health care delivery, but their current configuration often fragments information across systems, impeding timely and effective clinical decision-making. In gynecological oncology, where care involves complex, multidisciplinary coordination, these limitations can significantly impact the quality and efficiency of patient management. Few studies have examined how EHR systems support clinical decision-making from the perspective of end users.

Background: Circumcision is a widely practiced procedure with cultural and medical significance. However, certain penile abnormalities-such as hypospadias or webbed penis-may contraindicate the procedure and require specialized care. In low-resource settings, limited access to pediatric urologists often leads to missed or delayed diagnoses.

Auricular reconstruction is essential for restoring facial symmetry and achieving a well-contoured, natural-appearing ear. Traditional methods using autologous costal cartilage often delay reconstruction until around age 10, when sufficient rib cartilage is available, which can pose physical and psychological challenges for pediatric patients. Porous high-density polyethylene (PHDPE) implants offer significant advantages, including the ability to perform reconstruction earlier, reduced morbidity, improved ear definition, and the possibility of a single-stage outpatient procedure.

Objective: We designed a new distractor pairing a bioabsorbable upper fixing plate fixed by bioabsorbable screws with a traditional titanium distractor to simplify the second surgery removing the distractor after mandibular distraction osteogenesis. The present study aims to evaluate its biomechanical properties using finite element method.
Materials And Methods: Ten computer-aided designed models simulating mandibles of 5 patients under 2 working conditions, the instance of distraction and mastication, were produced.
