Apraxia is a common cognitive deficit after left hemisphere (LH) stroke. It has been suggested that a disturbed representation of the human body underlies apraxic imitation deficits. Thus, we here tested the hypothesis that a deficient body structural description (BSD), i.e., a deficient representation of a body part's position (relative to a standard human body), contributes to apraxic end-position errors in imitation, while controlling for deficits in the semantic representation of the human body (body image, BI) and naming deficits. A quantitative pointing task to assess putative BSD deficits and an apraxia assessment, including imitation and pantomime tasks, were applied to 27 patients with LH stroke and 19 healthy subjects. While LH stroke patients without apraxia (n=15) did not differ from control subjects in their pointing performance, patients suffering from imitation apraxia (n=10) showed a differential deficit when pointing to body parts of other humans compared to object parts. Voxel-based lesion symptom mapping (VLSM) revealed an association of these differential pointing deficits (indicating a deficient BSD) with lesions in the angular gyrus of the left inferior parietal cortex. This first quantitative group study of BSD deficits in LH stroke patients supports the notion that apraxic end-position errors in imitation are - at least in part - due to a deficient coding of the position of human body parts.

At present, flexible sensors are a hot spot in research and experimental development, but the research on flexible sensors that can be used for human motion monitoring still needs to be deepened. In this work, the green material cellulose acetate (CA) was used as the matrix material, the film was made by electrospinning, crushed by a cell grinder and sodium alginate (SA) was added to promote the uniform dispersion of nanofibers in water, and then methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMS) and MXene nanosheet dispersion were added to make it hydrophobic and good conductivity, and the aerogel precursor solution was prepared, and then the CA/SA/MTMS/MXene aerogel with directional holes was prepared by directional freeze-drying. As a flexible sensor material, it can be used for human wear, monitoring the electrical signals generated by the movement of human joints and other parts, and can still maintain a current of about 0.

Dyslipidemia is considered a crucial risk factor for high risk of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases. Cumin and coriander seeds are well-known flavoring agents that contain nutraceutical properties and appear to have beneficial health effects. A study was therefore conducted to investigate the effects of cumin and coriander seeds on body weight, abdominal fat and lipid profile in rats.

Introduction: Information on tertiary hyperparathyroidism (THPTH) among chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients on haemodialysis in developing countries such as India is limited, and the mortality among them remains a query.
Materials And Methods: This was a prospective cohort study conducted in at a tertiary care centre from June 2017 to June 2022. The index of suspicion for tertiary hyperparathyroidism was when investigations revealed high serum calcium and high alkaline phosphatase along with new onset of body aches, joint pains, and difficulty in walking.

Purpose Of The Review: This review aimed to summarize current evidence on the effectiveness of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) in the management of obesity and endometriosis, with a focus on dietary patterns such as the Mediterranean and Ketogenic diets, as well as nutritional supplementation. Additionally, it highlights the central role of the clinical nutritionist in implementing individualized, evidence-based interventions within multidisciplinary care.
Recent Findings: Although the literature reports the existence of an inverse relationship between risk of endometriosis and body mass index, clinical evidence jointly reports that a condition of obesity is associated with greater disease severity.

Introduction: Pharmacokinetic differences between long-acting injectable antipsychotic (LAI) formulations, combined with a lack of clinical switch studies, contribute to clinician uncertainty when transitioning between LAIs. This analysis employed a population pharmacokinetic (popPK) modeling approach to characterize dosing conversions and switching strategies from intramuscular paliperidone palmitate once monthly (PP1m) to TV-46000, a long-acting subcutaneous formulation of risperidone, once monthly (q1m), with a secondary analysis of PP1m to TV-46000 every 2 months (q2m).
Methods: For PP1m and TV-46000, concentration-time profiles for paliperidone and TV-46000 total active moiety (TAM; risperidone + paliperidone) were simulated on the basis of published popPK models with virtual populations of 5000 patients.
