The authors regret to announce they would like to withdraw this paper, for two main reasons: Since the paper was published, it has become clear that the thioredoxin that interacts in yeast 2-hybrid with the Cf-9 C-terminus is in fact localized in the chloroplast, rendering a role in Cf-9 signalling unlikely. Close scrutiny of the figures suggests several duplications. - In Fig 3A, the Anti-MBP band in lane 4 closely resembles the antiMBP band in Fig 3B lane 1, though slightly rotated. - In Fig 6A, the leaf disc in the panel labelled TRV:00, -Avr9, 30 min looks identical to the leaf disc in Fig S5, panel labelled Cf2 TRV:CITRX, -Avr2, 1 h. - In Fig 6C, multiple bands appear duplicated. For example, GlucA, TRV:00, -Avr9, 0 h duplicated with 6 h; and GlucB, TRV:00, +Avr9, 0 h duplicated with Hin1, TRV:00, +Avr9, 0 h. Source data for these figures are not available. All the authors agree that this paper should be withdrawn from the scientific literature.

Copper oxide nanoparticles (CuONPs) are increasingly used across various industrial applications, raising concerns about their potential toxicity and necessitating comprehensive safety evaluations. In this study, we first evaluated the respiratory toxicity of CuONP exposure in a mouse model of asthma. CuONP exposure alone exacerbated asthma symptoms, as evidenced by increased airway hyperresponsiveness, inflammatory cell infiltration, and elevated cytokine production with increasing thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP) expression.

Paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM) is an infectious disease caused by dimorphic fungi of the Paracoccidioides genus and causes a series of discomforts in affected patients. This work aimed to evaluate the antifungal potential of synthetic chalcones against Paracoccidioides brasiliensis (Pb) and to determine in silico possible therapeutic targets. An in silico evaluation of a database of 21 synthesized chalcones was carried out based on pharmacokinetic parameters, enzymatic inhibition, Tanimoto similarity, and the prediction of the spectrum of activity by PASS (prediction of activity spectra of substances).

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycemia, with pancreatic β-cell dysfunction and oxidative stress playing central roles in its pathogenesis. Recent studies have identified disulfidptosis as a novel form of regulated cell death driven by disulfide stress,a condition marked by abnormal intracellular disulfide accumulation and NADPH/NADP+ imbalance. This process is particularly prominent in glucose-deprived cells with high expression of the cystine transporter SLC7A11, where impaired disulfide reduction leads to cytoskeletal collapse and cell death.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive, multisystemic α-synucleinopathy, recognized as the second most prevalent neurodegenerative disorder globally. Its neuropathology is characterized by the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons, particularly in the substantia nigra pars compacta (SNpc), and the intraneuronal accumulation of α-synuclein-forming Lewy bodies. Oxidative stress is a key contributor to PD pathogenesis.
