Cancer of Unknown Primary origin (CUP) is characterized by metastatic tumor spread without identifiable primary tumor. CUP cohort was selected from 6966 autopsy cases (2001-2014). Type-1 ("clinical") CUPs: primary site was not found clinically but identified by autopsy. Type-2 ("clinicopathological") CUPs: no primary site either clinically or by autopsy. Type-3 ("pathological") CUPs: no tumor was suspected clinically whereas autopsy revealed metastatic spread from unidentifiable source. 2160 malignant tumors were found including 80 CUPs (type-1/2/3: 42/29/9). Cumulative incidence declined with time (3.70%; 2001-2007: 4.51%; 2008-2014: 3.19%) due to decreasing incidence of type-1 and -3 CUPs. CUPs were mostly adenocarcinomas and type-1 CUPs usually originate from the lung or pancreas. As a conclusion, type-2 and -3 CUPs may originate from microscopic-sized metastasizing primary tumors. Based on the above classification, improvement of clinical diagnostics may contribute to decreased incidence of type-1 CUPs and transfer of type-3 CUPs into type-2 category.

Background: Porous tantalum components and augments have demonstrated short to midterm fixation stability in acetabular total hip arthroplasty (THA) revision but do not offer a novel option to decrease the postoperative dislocation rate. Recently, dual mobility (DM) cups have gained interest to decrease the prevalence of recurrent hip instability after revision hip arthroplasty, but this issue was not confirmed combined with use of tantalum reconstruction devices. Therefore, we did a retrospective study aiming to: (1) evaluate at a 5-year minimum follow-up period the dislocation rate (and other intra- and postoperative complications), (2) assess radiographic results specifically looking at osseointegration and restoration of the hip center, (3) and also clinical results in a cohort of patients who underwent complex acetabular reconstruction with trabecular metal revision components associated with a cemented DM socket.

Objective - to justify the use of hip endoprosthesis techniques in dysplastic coxarthrosis depending on the type of dysplasia according to Crowe JF. The study is based on the analysis of hip replacement in 390 patients with dysplastic coxarthrosis, who underwent 436 endoprosthetics. There were 192 patients with type 1 dysplasia according to Crowe, type II - 142, type III - 38 and type IV - 18 patients.

Recent Healthy Drinks, Healthy Kids (HDHK) guidelines state children between 12 and 24 months need to be consuming 2-3 cups a day of whole fat cow's milk, and less of all other beverages except water. Guidelines explicitly state plant-based milks should be avoided (with the exception of soy milk). We agree that in the first 12 months the optimal food for childhood growth is breast milk, with formula used where needed.
