We report a case of eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) complicated with a IgG4 related disease like symptoms presenting as eyelid swellings. In the present case, the serum level of IgG4 and the ratio of IgG4 to IgG were generally increased by the disease course of EGPA. Considering the course of clinical symptoms, there is a possibility that orbital manifestations were one of the clinical features during the disease course of EGPA while the histological features of right eyelid tissue and other ocular manifestations were consistent with the diagnosis of IgG4 related disease.

Purpose Of Review: Autoimmune nodopathies (AN) are a recognized distinct group of immune-mediated peripheral neuropathies with unique immunopathological features and therapeutic implications. This review synthesizes recent advances in their pathogenesis, diagnosis, and management, which have refined their clinical classification and informed targeted treatment strategies.
Recent Findings: AN are characterized by autoantibodies targeting surface proteins in the nodal-paranodal area (anti-contactin-1, anti-contactin-associated protein 1, anti-neurofascin-155, anti-pan-neurofascin), predominantly of IgG4 subclass.

Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is characterized by the development of fluid-filled kidney cysts and relentless progression to renal failure. Current treatments have adverse effects and limited efficacy, enhancing the need for improved therapeutics. Here, we provide a proof of concept for the use of dimeric immunoglobulin A (IgA) (dIgA) monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to target epithelial-enclosed cysts, by exploiting their ability to transcytose via the polymeric immunoglobulin receptor highly expressed on renal cyst-lining cells.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate Histoplasma seroprevalence and associated risk factors in free-roaming cats from 2 endemic regions: north central Oklahoma and eastern Tennessee.
Methods: Seroprevalence was determined using frozen serum samples from trap, neuter, release programs in Tennessee (n = 426) and Oklahoma (200) from 2013 to 2024. For Tennessee samples, those with complete signalment information were included.

The durability of vaccine-induced protection is a critical parameter in assessing the overall quality and long-term effectiveness of a vaccine. While the lifelong immunity conferred by certain vaccines is well recognized, the molecular components that underpin such long-lasting protection remain poorly understood.
