Background: Kidney involvement in pediatric sarcoidosis is rare and often underrecognized, leading to diagnostic delays and treatment challenges. We report six patients with renal sarcoidosis to highlight their diverse presentations and outcomes and challenges in management.
Methods: Medical records of patients diagnosed with renal sarcoidosis during 2020-24 were reviewed.

The glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is a key measure of renal function, typically estimated using creatinine-based equations. More precise clearance measurements are obtained with radiotracers, such as [Tc]Tc-diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA), and blood samples over several hours. However, standard plasma clearance methods require labor-intensive plasma preparation, limiting efficiency in clinical practice.

Comprehensive interrogation of multiple disease-specific databases facilitated the identification of crucial SLE-associated molecular targets and hub genes, with MAPK1, MAPK3, TP53, JUN, and JAK2 demonstrating the highest degree of network centrality. Subsequent molecular docking simulations and binding affinity assessments revealed compounds with exceptional complementarity to these pivotal molecular targets, establishing as a pharmacologically promising botanical source and glycyrrhizin as its principal bioactive constituent meriting comprehensive mechanistic investigation.

Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a serious congenital anomaly often associated with pulmonary hypoplasia and persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn (PPHN). Central vascular access such as umbilical arterial catheters (UACs) is routinely used in neonatal intensive care but is associated with the risk of vascular complications, including thromboembolic events. We present a case of preterm dichorionic diamniotic (DCDA) twins born at 34 weeks of gestation with antenatally diagnosed CDH.

Crush syndrome remains a life-threatening complication of traumatic injuries, especially in mass casualty and disaster scenarios. This systematic review evaluates the current clinical and mechanistic understanding of crush-related pathophysiology, anatomical impact, and renal complications, with a focus on therapeutic interventions. Studies were selected using the PICO framework and analyzed under PRISMA guidelines.
