Ocular relapse in pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is rare and typically associated with central nervous system or bone marrow involvement. Anterior segment infiltration as the sole manifestation of relapse is exceptionally uncommon and may mimic noninfectious uveitis, leading to diagnostic delay. We report the case of a 4-year-old boy with a history of B-cell precursor ALL, diagnosed at age 2 and treated according to the ALL IC BFM 2009 protocol.

IntroductionConditioning regimen-related hepatotoxicity is one of the frequent causes of morbidity and mortality in hematological disorder patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation-the current study aimed to evaluate the effects of conditioning regimens on liver enzymes.MethodsThis observational analytical study was conducted for one year and recruited patients who received conditioning regimens before undergoing Bone Marrow Transplantation for benign hematological disorder [aplastic anemia (AA) and beta-thalassemia major (BTM)]. Pre-and post-transplant assessment particularly liver function test was done.

Lymphotoxin β receptor (LTβR/TNFRSF3) signaling plays a crucial role in immune defense. Notably, LTβR-deficient (LTβR) mice exhibit severe defects in innate and adaptive immunity against various pathogens and succumb to infection. Here, we investigated the bone marrow (BM) and peritoneal cavity (PerC) compartments of LTβR mice during infection, demonstrating perturbed B-cell and T-cell subpopulations in the absence of LTβR signaling.

Background: Sjögren's syndrome (SS) is a chronic autoimmune disease delineated by excessive lymphocyte infiltration to the lacrimal or salivary glands, leading to dry eye and dry mouth. Exosomes secreted from mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are known to have anti-inflammatory and tissue regeneration abilities. This study endeavored to demonstrate the effect of MSC-derived exosomes on the clinical parameter of dry eyes and associated pathology in SS mouse model.

To compare the efficacy of using bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BM-MSC) exosomes and injectable platelet rich fibrin (i-PRF) on the submandibular salivary glands (SMGs) of aged albino rats in restoring salivary gland structure and function. A total of 40 healthy male albino rats were used, two for obtaining the BM-MSCs, 10 for i-PRF preparation and seven adult rats (6-8 months old) represented the control group (Group 1). The remaining 21 rats were aged (18-20 months old) and divided into three groups of seven rats each; (Group 2): received no treatment, (Group 3): each rat received a single intraglandular injection of BM-MSC exosomes (50 μg/kg/dose suspended in 0.
