Introduction: HIV-negative adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), and men (ABYM), have disproportionately high HIV incidence in many African countries. We used a new HIV Prevention Cascade (HPC) approach to quantify levels of, and barriers to, prevention method use to guide interventions to increase effective uptake of primary HIV prevention.
Methods: Data from the Manicaland HPC pilot study (2018-19; n=9803) in Zimbabwe were used to measure levels of sexual risk behaviour and construct HPCs for male condom, pre-exposure prophylaxis (females), voluntary medical male circumcision (males) and combination prevention use by HIV-negative sexually active AGYW (15-24 years) and male partners (15-29 years).

This preclinical ex vivo study was conducted to evaluate the effects of submersion in saline or the Missouri Osteochondral Preservation System (MOPS®) solution during plug reaming on Day-0 viable chondrocyte density (%VCD) of osteochondral allograft (OCA) plugs used for osteochondral allograft transplantation (OCAT). Distal femoral OCAs preserved with MOPS were reamed to create cylindrical "plug" grafts using one of three techniques: submersion in MOPS (SG-MOPS), submersion in saline (SG-Saline), or reamer saturated with MOPS without OCA submersion (SR-MOPS). All plug reaming was performed using standardized instrumentation and technique to harvest 18-mm-diameter plugs.

Introduction: Electives are short placements during medical school lasting 2-8 weeks, serving as an opportunity to engage with different healthcare systems and cultures and to travel overseas. However, amid increasing alarm about climate change, interest in the sustainability of electives and alternative elective formats are gaining attention.
Methods: A scoping review of MEDLINE, Embase, ERIC, Web of Science SCOPUS, WHO Globus Index Medicus and Scielo was conducted with double-blind screening to identify previous efforts to quantify carbon costs of electives.

Vaccine-preventable herpes zoster (HZ) poses substantial burden among Australian adults ≥50 years of age (YOA) despite available vaccination. This study aimed to understand the HZ vaccine-related preferences of adults paying out-of-pocket for HZ vaccination, to facilitate targeted recommendations by physicians and ultimately reduce disease burden. A discrete choice experiment was conducted (March-May 2023) to quantify preferences for HZ vaccine attributes among adults 50-64 YOA: HZ-naïve with selected self-reported comorbidities (n = 525; each comorbidity: n = 75), HZ-naïve without comorbidities (n = 150), and current/former HZ patients (n = 150).

Family functioning has been implicated in reproductive decisionmaking, yet its heterogeneity remain underexplored, particularly among young adults. This study employs Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) to identify high and lowfunctioning family profiles among Chinese university students and their parents, and to quantify their associations with marriageandchildbearing attitudes and explicit fertility intentions.
