Sir John Floyer (1649-1734) was an English physician and author, notable for developing the pulse watch, advancing understanding of asthma pathophysiology, the first pathological description of emphysema and as an advocate of coldwater bathing. In 1702, he published a book with Edward Baynard MD (c1641-1717) on coldwater bathing. Therein, a postscript to a letter by Baynard describes a controlled trial of water therapy using two boys of 'near of a Speed and Strength' to race 100 yards.

This article explores the lived experiences and ethical complexities of the decision- and meaning-making journey involved in living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) through a case study of a young adult who donated part of his liver to his father. Utilising embodied phenomenology and narrative analysis, we present an in-depth exploration of personal stories and interconnected narratives that reveal the intricate layers and nuances inherent in child-to-parent LDLT within the Taiwanese sociocultural milieu. This study examines the embodied, relational, temporal and normative dimensions through a dynamic, iterative process of careful reading and analysis, from which four plotlines emerged [(1) indebtedness, (2) thrownness, (3) struggle for selfhood and (4) family seniority] along with a postscript.

The last 10 years has brought transformative developments in the effective treatment of myasthenia gravis (MG). Beginning with the randomized trial of thymectomy in myasthenia gravis that demonstrated efficacy of thymectomy in nonthymomatous MG, several new treatment approaches have completed successful clinical trials and regulatory launch. These modalities, including B cell depletion, complement inhibition, and blockade of the neonatal Fc receptor, are now in use, offering prospects of sustained remission and neuromuscular protection in what is a long-term disease.

Schistosomiasis control is not only a disease control programme, but also a great social practice activity in China. During the evolution of national schistosomiasis control programmes, the special schistosomiasis control culture has been cultivated and developed, which contains the spiritual connotation of government-led, people-oriented, respect for science and integration of all efforts. The publication of Chairman Mao Zedong's two poems entitled "Farewell to the God of Plague" and the post-script in 1958 was a sign for the formation and development of Chinese schistosomiasis control culture, which always lead the orientation of development and practice of schistosomiasis control culture building.

William Lockhart's , published in 1842, is the first English translation Monograph of ancient obstetric book in traditional Chinese medicine.To take the translation postscript as clue, adopt research methods like textual bibliography etc., and integrate the relevant historical data and the libraries collection information, it is found that the original version of the English translation is the carving copy of engraved by Fuxian Hall on Rongxian Street, Foxian County,Guangdong Province, in the fifth year of the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty (1825).
