Introduction: The role of imaging in radiotherapy is becoming increasingly important. Verification of imaging parameters prior to treatment planning is essential for safe and effective clinical practice.
Methods: This study described the development and clinical implementation of ImageCompliance, an automated, GUI-based script designed to verify and enforce correct CT and MRI parameters during radiotherapy planning.

Introduction: Medical physicists play a critical role in ensuring image quality and patient safety, but their routine evaluations are limited in scope and frequency compared to the breadth of clinical imaging practices. An electronic radiologist feedback system can augment medical physics oversight for quality improvement. This work presents a novel quality feedback system integrated into the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) at a university hospital system, designed to facilitate feedback from radiologists to medical physicists and technologist leaders.

Background: Gender disparities persist in medical research. This study assessed gender representation trends in first and senior authorships in the five highest-ranked critical care journals (by impact factor) over a 20-year period.
Methods: We analyzed author gender distribution from 2005 to 2024.

Early-life experiences shape neural networks, with heightened plasticity during the so-called "sensitive periods" (SP). SP are regulated by the maturation of GABAergic parvalbumin-positive (PV+) interneurons, which become enwrapped by perineuronal nets (PNNs) over time, modulating SP closure. Additionally, the opening and closing of SP are orchestrated by two distinct gene clusters known as "trigger" and "brake".

Objective: To compare the effectiveness of intravitreal faricimab and aflibercept injections in patients with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV).
Methods: This retrospective study analysed 111 treatment-naïve eyes (111 patients) with PCV who received intravitreal injections of either faricimab (30 eyes) or aflibercept (81 eyes). All patients were treated with three initial monthly loading injections.
