The pathogenic soilborne and postharvest fungus , as newly reported pathogen in Serbia, caused significant disease symptoms on carrot roots and seedlings in inoculation assays. In October 2023, machine-washed and cold-stored carrot roots showed symptoms of black rot of patches and abundant sporulation. The influence of the postharvest treatment of machine washing was confirmed by additional sampling at the production site.

Big data analytics have shown great potential to improve decision-making in health, including disease surveillance and healthcare delivery. This scoping review explores how big data supports decision-making in large-scale food fortification (LSFF) and biofortification across the food value chain. Following PRISMA guidelines, we analyzed open-access peer-reviewed literature and gray literature from 2012 to 2022.

Probabilistic Random Forest is an extension of the traditional Random Forest machine learning algorithm that is one of the frequently used machine learning algorithms employed for species distribution modeling. However, with the use of complex dataset for predicting the presence or absence of the species, It is essential that feature extraction is important to generate optimal prediction that can affect the model accuracy and AUC score of the model simulation. In this paper, we integrated the Genetic Algorithm Optimization technique, which is popular for its excellent feature extraction technique, to enhance the predictive performance of the PRF Model.

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in minors with gender dysphoria (GD) seeking transition treatments, including puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones. The developing child's brain exhibits structural and functional differences in children with GD compared to cisgender children, particularly in areas where sex differences exist. Brain development during childhood and adolescence is strongly influenced by sex hormones.

Introduction: Restoration of surgical capacity is essential to post-COVID-19 recovery. This study explored the use and safety of anaesthesia options for inguinal hernia surgery, a common tracer condition, to describe current global practice and highlight opportunities to build the capacity of health systems.
Methods: This is a secondary analysis of an international prospective cohort study of consecutive patients who underwent elective inguinal hernia surgery.
