Background: Nursing faculty members strive to use optimal clinical learning environments that educate students for clinical competence and sense of salience. The purpose of this study was to offer insight into the perceptions of students, preceptors, and faculty in three clinical models: traditional, precepted, and a hybrid blend.
Method: One hundred fifty students, seven preceptors, and 12 faculty members responded to open-ended survey questions about their experience in one of the models. Conventional content analysis revealed themes for each group and theme intersections across groups.
Results: The students' themes included Making Connections (traditional), The Land of Opportunity (precepted), and The Total Package (hybrid). Preceptor themes included Giving of Self and Reflection on Practice. The Value of the Nurse theme emerged from faculty responses across all models. Students desired additional skill performance, and preceptors suggested improved communication and role clarity.
Conclusion: Clinical models that maximize faculty and preceptor expertise should be formalized and studied. [J Nurs Educ. 2017;56(5):281-286.].

Background: Following SARS-CoV-2 infection, ~10-35% of COVID-19 patients experience long COVID (LC), in which debilitating symptoms persist for at least three months. Elucidating biologic underpinnings of LC could identify therapeutic opportunities.
Methods: We utilized machine learning methods on biologic analytes provided over 12-months after hospital discharge from >500 COVID-19 patients in the IMPACC cohort to identify a multi-omics "recovery factor", trained on patient-reported physical function survey scores.

Importance: Advances in diagnostics have enabled the detection of more gastrointestinal pathogens, but misuse of diagnostics can lead to inappropriate antibiotic use and excess financial burdens. Ensuring appropriate use of diagnostics is crucial for optimizing patient care and promoting stewardship of health care resources.
Objective: To elicit parents' and clinicians' perspectives on expectations for care of pediatric diarrhea with a focus on diagnostic testing and to evaluate the potential for an electronic clinical decision support tool (ECDST) to improve appropriate use of diagnostics.

This study aimed to investigate the age-related alterations in mesial roots of mandibular first molar in terms of root canal curvature values, dentin thickness, interorifice distance, deviation from apical foramen, and location of apical foramen using a three-dimensional curvature measurement method and micro-computed tomography (micro-CT). Forty-five mesial roots of mandibular first molars from three age groups (Group 1: ≤ 30 years, Group 2: 31-59 years, Group 3: ≥ 60 years) were scanned using micro-CT. The central axis of each mesiobuccal and mesiolingual canal was analyzed using cubic B-spline curves to calculate canal curvature.

Background And Objectives: Explore whether community social capital measures (system of resources available to individuals through community engagement) are related to surgical outcomes among intracranial tumor patients.
Methods: Adults who underwent resection at a single medical center for intracranial tumor was identified and their zip codes were matched to three variables derived from the Social Capital Atlas: economic connectedness, volunteering rate, and civic organizations. The economic connectedness score quantifies the degree to which low-income and high-income community members are friends with each other, the volunteering rate is defined as the proportion of a given community engaged in community organizations and the civic organization score is defined as the number of local civic organizations within a given community.

Objective: This study evaluated the effects and mechanisms of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory oils with a high omega-9:omega-6 ratio and a low omega-6:omega-3 ratio on post-extraction healing in rats.
Materials And Methods: A total of 128 Wistar rats were divided into four groups: Sham, Saline, Isolipidic, and Anti-inflammatory/Antioxidant. The animals received one of the following treatments: (1) 0.
