Gardner-Diamond syndrome (GDS) is an uncommon disease clinically characterized by a wide spectrum of psycho-emotive symptoms associated with painful ecchymoses/purpuric lesions and positivity of auto-erythrocyte sensitization skin test. This study aimed to evaluate the antidepressant potential of Nitazoxanide (NTZ), an antiprotozoal drug with known anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties, in a chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS)-induced mice model of depression. NTZ was administered at doses of 75, 150, and 300 mg/kg, and its effects were assessed through a series of behavioral tests, including the forced swim test, tail suspension test, actophotometer test, and social interaction test. NTZ treatment at 150 and 300 mg/kg significantly improved behavioral and biochemical outcomes, relieving depressive-like symptoms and restoring neurochemical balance.

Introduction: Psychological stress has been proposed as a trigger for disease activity in multiple sclerosis (MS), but findings have been inconsistent. While prior research has focused largely on chronic stressors, little is known about how people with MS (pwMS) cope with acute, large-scale stress events such as war.
Objective: Examine the effects of wartime stress following the October 7, 2023 attack on disease activity in pwMS, and to assess whether emotional factors are associated with relapse risk during this period.

Decreasing funding for nonhuman animal research decreases the opportunity for students and researchers to explore the behavior of many species in many contexts. In the long run, this will reduce variability within the experimental analysis of behavior around what species are being researched and what questions are being asked. New technologies, however, offer students and researchers the opportunity to observe the behavior of organisms in everyday environments in cost-effective ways.

Smartphone applications (apps) represent promising tools to overcome common barriers to treatment in individuals within the Eating Disorders (EDs) spectrum, thanks to their constant availability and cost-effectiveness. In this context, Cruz et al. (2025) conducted the first meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating the efficacy of app-based interventions for EDs.
