Article Abstract

We study the stochastic dynamics of coupled states with transition probabilities depending on local persistence, this is, the time since a state has changed. When the system has a preference to adopt older states the system orders quickly due to the dominance of old states. When preference for new states prevails, the system can show coexistence of states or synchronized collective behavior resulting in long ordering times. In this case, the magnetization of the system oscillates around zero. Finally we discuss a potential application in social systems.

The study objective was to investigate the tibia fractures morphology depending on the position of victim at the time of injury when falling from height. The article presents the results of mathematical statistics which was carried out to justify scientifically the expert approach to reconstruction of accident circumstances in a fall from height with various landing options. The study results can be used to determine the position of the victim's body at the moment of landing, as well as to specify the height of fall.

Objective: To develop and implement a method for determining the postmortem interval and the marginal errors of its estimates under conditions of linearly varying external temperature in the format of an online application.

Material And Methods: A computer-assissted numerical search for the absolute minimum point of the objective function obtained from a system of nonlinear equations reflecting the results of double rectal or cranioencephalic thermometry of a corpse under conditions of linearly varying external temperature was carried out. The search algorithm was generalized to possible marginal errors in measuring the initial indicators of temperature and time.
