Huge aortic arch aneurysm presenting with subacute cough: a case report.

A 74-year-old Asian female patient with a history of hypertension and dyslipidemia presented with a subacute dry cough of one month duration. Chest radiography revealed mediastinal enlargement and contrast-enhanced computed tomography revealed a huge saccular aortic arch aneurysm compressing the left lung and protruding to the anterior chest wall. Open surgical intervention using a frozen elephant trunk was successfully performed to treat the aortic aneurysm, and the cough improved completely with aneurysm sac shrinkage six months postoperatively.
