Background: The intestinal microbiota composition has been linked to neurocognitive impairment in people with HIV (PWH). However, the potential interplay of microbial species and related metabolites, particularly in the context of an HIV cure strategy remains underexplored. The BCN02 trial evaluated the impact of romidepsin (RMD), used as a HIV-1 latency reversing agent and with reported beneficial neurological effects, combined with the MVA.

Nanocrystals (NCs) of various compositions have made important contributions to science and technology, with their impact recognized by the 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the discovery and synthesis of semiconductor quantum dots (QDs). Over four decades of research into NCs has led to numerous advancements in diverse fields, such as optoelectronics, catalysis, energy, medicine, and recently, quantum information and computing. The last 10 years since the predecessor perspective "Prospect of Nanoscience with Nanocrystals" was published in ACS Nano have seen NC research continuously evolve, yielding critical advances in fundamental understanding and practical applications.

Huntington's disease (HD) is characterized by progressive neurodegeneration, often accompanied by disrupted iron regulation and altered white matter (WM) integrity. This study investigates iron content and microstructural changes in the anterior thalamic radiations (ATR) across different HD stages. Thirty-one gene carriers and twenty-four controls underwent neuropsychological assessment and 3 T-MRI scanning, including relaxometry and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) sequences to assess iron content and WM microstructure.

When speakers of different languages are in contact, they often borrow features like sounds, words, or syntactic patterns from one language to the other. However, the lack of historical data has hampered estimation of this effect at a global scale. We overcome this hurdle by using genetic admixture and shared geohistorical location as a proxy for population contact.

Engineering lattice strain, electronic structure, and crystallinity in palladium alloys offers a promising approach to significantly enhance their electrocatalytic performance. In this work, we present a versatile strategy to synthesize Pd-based phosphide alloys integrated with non-noble metal atoms (Pd-M-P; M = Co, Ni, Cu), characterized by expanded lattice structures and a crystalline-amorphous core-shell architecture. Catalytic performance assessments revealed that CuPdP exhibits an impressive mass activity of 7.
