An invited panel session was conducted in the 2012 Joint Statistical Meetings, San Diego, California, USA, to stimulate the discussion on multiplicity issues in confirmatory clinical trials for drug development. A total of 11 expert panel members were invited and 9 participated. Prior to the session, a case study was previously provided to the panel members to facilitate the discussion, focusing on the key components of the study design and multiplicity. The Phase 3 development program for this new experimental treatment was based on a single randomized controlled trial alone. Each panelist was asked to clarify if he or she responded as if he or she were a pharmaceutical drug sponsor, an academic panelist or a health regulatory scientist.

Aims/background: The present study aims to address the limitations of previous Spanish validation studies of the Postpartum Bonding Questionnaire (PBQ), including limited diagnostic range and clinical severity, and inconsistent factor structures. Specifically, the aim of this further validation is twofold: to evaluate the factor structure of the PBQ in a sample of Spanish mothers to determine a replicable structure, and to validate the Spanish version of both the full PBQ (25 items) and a reduced 14-item version (PBQ14), in a sample of mothers with and without bonding disorders, including a broader range of bonding issues and more severe cases than in previous Spanish validations.
Design/methods: Data were collected from two independent samples of mothers.

Reliable tools for assessing gambling symptom severity in gambling disorder (GD) are critical for both research and clinical intervention. The Gambling Symptom Assessment Scale (GSAS) is widely used but lacks validation in Chinese-speaking populations. Our study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Chinese version of GSAS (C-GSAS) among 186 treatment-seeking GD patients.
