Endothelial Colony-Forming Cells (ECFCs) are recognized as key vasculogenic progenitors in humans and serve as valuable liquid biopsies for diagnosing and studying vascular disorders. In a groundbreaking study, Anceschi et al. present a novel, integrative strategy that combines ECFCs loaded with gold nanorods (AuNRs) to enhance tumor radiosensitization through localized hyperthermia.

This narrative review analyzes current evidence comparing single-session and two-session approaches in Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) and high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy for localized prostate cancer. These ultra-hypofractionated strategies deliver high-precision ablative doses while minimizing exposure to normal tissues. SBRT regimens with fewer than five fractions show tumor control comparable to conventional treatments, offering reduced treatment burden and increased convenience.

Background And Purpose: Determining the appropriate sample size for developing robust radiomics-based binary outcome prediction models and identifying the maximum number of predictors safely allowable within a fixed dataset size remain critical yet challenging tasks. This study aims to propose and demonstrate a structured method for addressing these issues, enhancing methodological rigor and practicality in radiomics research.
Materials And Methods: We introduce a comprehensive sample size calculation framework for binary outcome prediction models in radiomic studies.

Achieving high-quality PET imaging while minimizing scan time and patient radiation dose presents significant challenges, particularly in the absence of CT-based attenuation maps. Joint reconstruction algorithms, such as MLAA and MLACF, partially address these challenges but often result in noisy and less reliable images. Denoising these images is critical for enhancing diagnostic accuracy.
