We have derived a gravity field solution in spherical harmonics to degree and order 900, GRGM900C, from the tracking data of the Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) Primary (1 March to 29 May 2012) and Extended Missions (30 August to 14 December 2012). A power law constraint of 3.6 ×10/ was applied only for degree greater than 600. The model produces global correlations of gravity, and gravity predicted from lunar topography of ≥ 0.98 through degree 638. The model's degree strength varies from a minimum of 575-675 over the central nearside and farside to 900 over the polar regions. The model fits the Extended Mission Ka-Band Range Rate data through 17 November 2012 at 0.13 μm/s RMS, whereas the last month of Ka-Band Range-Rate data obtained from altitudes of 2-10 km fit at 0.98 μm/s RMS, indicating that there is still signal inherent in the tracking data beyond degree 900.

The global increase in demand for ready-to-eat foods has been accompanied by a concerning rise in salmonellosis outbreaks linked to minimally processed vegetables (MPV). This study evaluated S. enterica survival in minimally processed carrot and zucchini under different combined conditions of temperature (6, 9 and 12 °C) and relative humidity (RH; 75, 85 and 95 %) over 168 h.

The objective of the research was to employ extrusion to increase the yield of simulated gastrointestinal digestion of protein corn gluten meal (CG). A single-screw extruder and a full factorial design with two center points were used. The optimal extrusion parameters were 40 % sample moisture, 140 °C and 54 rpm, resulting in a gastrointestinal digestion yield of 37.

Background: Research on cancer in wild animals provides important insights into the mechanisms of carcinogenesis. Histiocytic sarcomas comprise a rare malignant macrophage-dendritic cell lineage neoplasm in wildlife. This study reports a case of histiocytic sarcoma in the small intestine of a collared peccary (Pecari tajacu), describing its clinical, anatomopathological, and immunohistochemical aspects.

To develop membranes capable of efficient and switchable emulsion separation under variable pH conditions, pH-responsive surfaces were engineered on poly(ethylene terephthalate) track-etched membranes (PET TeMs) via a two-step UV-initiated RAFT graft polymerization process. Initially, polystyrene (PS) was grafted to render the surface hydrophobic, followed by the grafting of poly(methacrylic acid) (PMAA) to introduce pH-responsive carboxyl groups. Optimized conditions (117 mM MAA, RAFT:initiator 1:10, 60 min UV exposure at 10 cm) resulted in PET TeMs-g-PS-g-PMAA surfaces exhibiting tunable wettability, with contact angles shifting from 90° at pH 2 to 65° at pH 9.
