The combination of melanin-targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) and immunotherapy offers potential in overcoming melanoma resistance to conventional therapies. Studying the potential abscopal effect induced by TRT is essential to evaluate such combination. We develop here a preclinical murine model comprising a target (pigmented) and non-target (non-pigmented) tumour to study the abscopal effect induced by melanin-TRT in melanoma.

The treatment of non-segmental vitiligo (NSV) remains challenging and poorly understood. The aim of this study was to evaluate protein differences in lesional and non-lesional skin and changes of cellular and proteomic markers early in treatment in lesional skin and blood in relation to clinical response. This prospective exploratory study was conducted in 30 NSV patients, 11 starting with standard-of-care topical therapy and 19 in combination with narrowband (NB)-UVB phototherapy.

Vitiligo is a chronic autoimmune skin condition characterized by the progressive loss of melanocytes, resulting in well-defined hypopigmented or achromic patches. Oxidative stress is believed to play a role in its pathogenesis, and superoxide dismutase (SOD), an antioxidant enzyme, has emerged as a potential therapeutic option. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the efficacy of oral or topical SOD, used either alone or in combination with other interventions, in the treatment of vitiligo.

Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of oral corticosteroids and JAK inhibitors as adjunctive treatments following non-cultured epidermal cell suspension (NCES) transplantation in patients with stable vitiligo.
Methods: Data were collected from 12 patients with stable vitiligo who underwent NCES transplantation at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University between June 2023 and December 2024. Postoperatively, 36 lesions (from 7 patients) were treated with oral corticosteroids, and 34 lesions (from 5 patients) with upadacitinib, totaling 70 vitiligo lesions evaluated.
