We report x-ray photon correlation spectroscopy experiments on a concentrated nanocolloidal gel subject to in situ oscillatory shear strain. The strain causes periodic echoes in the speckle pattern that lead to peaks in the intensity autocorrelation function. Above a threshold strain that is near the first yield point of the gel, the peak amplitude decays exponentially with the number of shear cycles, signaling irreversible particle rearrangements. The wave-vector dependence of the decay rate reveals a power-law distribution in the size of regions undergoing shear-induced rearrangement. The gel also displays strain softening well below the threshold, indicating a range of strains at which the rheology is nonlinear but the microscopic deformations are reversible.

We present two cases highlighting novel prenatal ultrasound findings in atretic cephalocele (AC) using high-resolution ultrasound and microvascular flow imaging. This report includes the first prenatal ultrasound demonstration of key diagnostic AC features: superior sagittal sinus fenestration, observed in the parietal case, and a fibrous dural stalk, identified in both parietal and occipital cases. Both fetuses presented with a small midline scalp lesion, internal echoes, and an underlying bony defect without brain tissue herniation.

Background: Subamniotic hemorrhage, a rare condition involving bleeding between the amniotic membrane and fetal chorionic plate, presents diagnostic challenges.
Case Presentation: A 35-year-old woman at 37 weeks of gestation who presented with lower abdominal discomfort and decreased fetal movements came to our emergency department. Ultrasound revealed medium-strong echoes in the amniotic fluid and inhomogeneous echoes around the umbilical cord.

Purpose: The emergence of new medications for fatty liver conditions has increased the need for reliable and widely available assessment of MRI proton density fat fraction (MRI-PDFF). Whereas low-field MRI presents a promising solution, its utilization is challenging due to the low SNR. This work aims to enhance SNR and enable precise PDFF quantification at low-field MRI using a novel locally low-rank deep learning-based (LLR-DL) reconstruction.

This case series highlights potential systemic effects of lymphaticovenular anastomosis (LVA) with conventional treatment in patients with primary lymphedema of the lower limb, with a particular focus on its implications for cerebral lymphatic function. We present two cases in which LVA performed on a lower limb led to interesting systemic improvements extending beyond the treated regions, including alleviation of preoperative cognitive symptoms. The first case involves a 37-year-old woman with diffuse body swelling, including facial edema.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common primary liver cancer, remains a major global health burden due to its high recurrence, late diagnosis, and limited prognostic tools. While imaging and treatment modalities have advanced, there is an urgent need for reliable, noninvasive biomarkers to facilitate early detection, therapeutic monitoring, and outcome prediction. Circulating cell-free mitochondrial DNA (ccf-mtDNA) has emerged as a promising candidate biomarker, attributed to its unique biological properties, including high copy number, circular configuration, and resistance to degradation.
