The complete mitochondrial genome of the iconic Australian freshwater fish, the Murray Cod, Maccullochella peelii, was recovered from partial genome sequencing data using the HiSeq platform (Illumina, San Diego, CA). The mitogenome consists of 16,442 bp (58% A + T content) containing 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal subunit genes, 22 transfer RNAs, and a 768 bp non-coding AT-rich region. This is the first mitogenome sequence for the genus Maccullochella, and the fourth for the family Percichthyidae.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted review (AAR) system in improving diagnostic accuracy, efficiency, and concordance with expert assessments during the evaluation of donor kidney viability.
Methods: Sixty H&E-stained frozen-section kidney biopsy slides from explant kidneys obtained for organ donation were evaluated. A board-certified renal pathologist established ground truth (GT) through manual digital evaluation on the Techcyte Fusion Platform.

With the advent of ever more intense and focused X-ray sources, including in laboratories, at synchrotrons, and at X-ray free electron lasers, radiation-induced sample change and damage are becoming increasingly challenging. Therefore, the exploration of possible mitigation strategies is crucial to continue to allow the collection of robust and repeatable data. One mitigation approach is the introduction of short, X-ray-free "dark" periods.

Modification of river flows is a major cause of freshwater fish population declines in many parts of the world. Identifying the precise mechanisms of these declines represents a significant challenge, as a range of stressors can simultaneously impact various components of fish health, fitness and population dynamics. Here we investigate the role of river flows and other biophysical factors on spatio-temporal variation in freshwater fish body condition in Australia's highly modified Murray-Darling Basin using three widely distributed native (Murray cod Maccullochella peelii, golden perch Macquaria ambigua and bony herring Nematalosa erebi) and one introduced (common carp Cyprinus carpio) species.

Postsynthetic methods have been used to immobilize a carboxylate-functionalized diphosphine ligand, ,-bis[(diphenylphosphino)methyl]glycinate (dppmg), in different metal-organic framework (MOF) supports. H(dppmg) reacts quantitatively with Zn-OH groups in MFU-4-OH () to provide solid-state ligands () with controllable diphosphine loadings. Postsynthetic metalation with [Ir(OMe)(cod)] (cod = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) generates heterogeneous precatalysts () that show excellent activity toward C-H borylation of arenes.
